The government has decided not to stop the export of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) to the European Union. Even though faced with the complexity of global challenges, the national economy is still able to show resilience by growing up to 5.31% (ctc) in 2022. One of the sectors that has become a catalyst in driving the performance of the national economy is the agricultural sector which has achieved export growth of up to 6.53 % (yoy) from IDR 329.4 trillion in 2021 to IDR 350.9 trillion in 2022.
The growth in exports of the agricultural sector was supported by the performance of the plantation sub-sector, which was dominated by coconut as the second leading commodity after palm oil with an economic value of up to IDR 30 trillion. The high export of coconut contributed to an increase in output, income and employment so that the Government is committed to continuing to maintain the performance of the coconut commodity to remain impressive.

On the other hand, this program is also structured to ensure that the direction of agricultural development runs according to clear targets and stages,” said Vita.
